4 Add-Ons To Consider With Your Wedding Tent Liner

Posted on

Are you planning a wedding in your backyard or some other outdoor location? Are you renting a tent for the reception? If so, you'll need to make some decisions about the size and style of tent that you want. You'll also need to decide which optional features you want to include with your tent rental. Some of these optional add-ons can make enhance the tent's appearance or simply make it more comfortable with your guests. Here are three add-ons to consider for your wedding tent rental:

Tent liner. A tent liner goes on the inside of the tent's roof. It's a sheet of fabric that hides the tent's support system and gives the roof a soft, billowy look. Since most tents are white, some brides will go with a liner that is a different color to create a unique aesthetic within the tent. However, a tent liner can be expensive, especially if you have a large tent. Also, the liner doesn't serve any function besides the aesthetic, so you may want to skip it if you're working with a tight budget.

Flooring. You'll likely need flooring for the dance floor area, but what about the rest of the tent? Flooring can give your tent a more sophisticated look. It can also make it easier for women to walk around in high heels. However, flooring isn't cheap. Depending on the type of flooring you get, it could significantly drive up the cost of the tent.

The most affordable option is carpet, but that's only the case if you have flat land. If not, you'll have to pay to have a crew level the ground before the carpet is laid. You can also get planks or even flooring tiles, but those options are usually more expensive than carpet. Think about the look and feel you want for your wedding. If it's a casual wedding, you may not need flooring outside of the dance floor. If it's more formal, tent flooring may be necessary.

Air conditioning. If you're having your wedding in a warm climate in the middle of summer, air conditioning may be a life saver. The last thing you want is guests sweating and suffering from heat exhaustion. Many commercial rental equipment stores offer outdoor air conditioners that can be used to keep a tent cool.

However, it could get pricey. Since a tent is open and isn't insulated, much of the air conditioning will escape out of the tent. For a more efficient cooling option, consider using large fans or even misting machines.
